Alcuin School

Founded in 1964, Alcuin School nurtures and guides children from 18 months through 12th grade according to the principles and methods of Maria Montessori and the rigorous curriculum of I.B.M.Y.P. and I.B.D.P. Alcuin School is an independent nonsectarian, coeducational day school serving a diverse community of approximately 575 students. A new state-of-the-art world languages and fine arts facility, innovation studio, interactive library, world class science labs, language lab, sports facilities, playgrounds, and organic gardens enhance its beautiful 12-acre campus in North Dallas. By emphasizing interdisciplinary studies across academic, social, and international boundaries, Alcuin School develops students' capacities for critical thinking and compassionate action in a complex world. Sixth through 10th grade follow the International Baccalaureate® Middle Years Programme. Eleventh and 12th grade follow the International Baccalaureate® Diploma Programme and have the opportunity to receive the prestigious International Baccalaureate® Diploma.
