So, while a glass of wine a day may be good for your heart, it’s not so good for your breasts. Consider indulging every other day.

A study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that women who closely followed a plant based diet had a 15 percent lower risk of developing breast cancer compared to those who didn’t. Another study showed that postmenopausal women who followed a Mediterranean diet were 40 percent less likely to develop estrogen receptor-negative breast cancer.
