Dallas Medical Center
It’s never something you want to happen, but if it does, you need help and you want it fast. Well rest easy, because soon you’ll be able to get an orthopedic office visit even faster. Before the end of football season, Dallas Medical Center (DMC) will offer an Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic, right on the DMC campus at 635 and Webb Chapel.
Dallas Medical Center is partnering with Sports Physicians Orthopedics and Rehabilitation of Texas (SPORT) to provide these Orthopedic Urgent Care services. “When people get hurt, they want to be seen quickly. With this new program, if you have an orthopedic injury today and we’re open, you’ll be seen today,” said JT Barnhart, CEO of Dallas Medical Center. “Plus, the initial consultation is free. You can’t beat that,” continued Barnhart.
When it comes to student athletes, after-hour injuries are pretty common, especially under the Friday night lights. If you or your student athlete gets injured Friday night, you’re covered; the Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic will be open on Saturdays, giving you the expert medical care you need without having to wait until Monday.
Not a player on a sports team? Not a problem. Anyone with an orthopedic injury is welcome at the clinic. Maybe you were out jogging and stepped in a pothole, or you were maxing out at the gym a little too much. Whether you play high school sports, recreation-league games, or are a weekend warrior, the clinic is there for you.
Until the new facilities are completed on the DMC campus, patients needing immediate care may visit one of SPORT’s other offices in North Dallas. Visit www.dallamedcenter.com/ortho to learn more about Dallas Medical Center, SPORT, and the Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic.
